Picture taken March 20th, on the day of the Vernal Equinox. Contrary to popular believe, this day there’s just a few more minutes of daylight than darkness on this day. Because of the way light bends, the day it’s exactly 12 hours of each is 3-4 days prior to the Equinox.

Sunset with hues of pink, blue, purple, and gold. Taken on the eve of the Spring Equinox, a few days after the equal hours of night and day. Did you know that takes place 3-4 days before the vernal equinox? On the day of Ostara, there is just a few minutes more of light than dark. And of course, the days will continue to get longer until the Summer Solstice.

Picture taken January 13th, 2026. The sky just before Dawn. The light from the big farm light can be seen in the corner. Much like city streetlights, it’s triggered by the sun. It goes off in the morning and turns on when it’s dark.

Yet another sunset over the prairie. This unfiltered picture was taken in January 2026, just ahead of an unseasonably warm day. Evidence of climate change is written in the skies, if you bother to read it.
