Determination
Powering through the struggles.
I like pulling Oracle cards. I had a gypsy deck as a child, so cards in generally interest me. I’m especially drawn to Nature and animal themed decks. I know, shocker.
One of my decks, Woodland Wardens, I pull from weekly. (I also draw for others on Ko-Fi.). This past week my draw was the card above:
THE RAM AND DAHLIA ~ determination.
Determination.
Some days I feel like that’s the only fuel I have to keep going (that, or pure stubbornness). This card tells me I can achieve my wildest dreams with a little determination. Like the ram charges up the mountain and the dahlia blooms as late in the season as it possibly can, I too must be determined to see my goals to the end.
But what’s at the end? What am I driving towards? What am I most determined to accomplish?
The unknow of our societal structure has a lot of us frozen, unsure what steps to take. “Success” has been redefined in many ways. We see others who have ‘success’, and simply don’t want that for ourselves. Or, we don’t see whatever someone else has accomplished as a ‘success’.
So what are we striving for?
Simply put, I believe it’s survival. Making it through the day, having enough food, and working together as a community. Learning from each other, listening, and having empathy instead of judgement. I believe by giving to others, we’re giving to ourselves. To survive, we’ve got to work together.
I’m determined to survive, how about you?
