I’ve mentioned a few times before how busy this time of year is for me. And it’s only going to get busier from here on out.
Most likely I will need to take a large step back from what we're made to believe is the “real world”.
For most of us, the babblings of the media online and off have absolutely nothing to do with our daily life. So to be constantly absorbed in coriographed events on a global stage is a collosal waste of time. It's not enjoyable, and does nothing to benefit our lives.
The more news stories I read, the more I have the urge to disappear into the pumpkin patch. The discussion is stale and pointless, the headlines fake. Outside, however, is enticing. There's sound, sight, and beauty. There's mysteries that don't end in heartbreak, and useful knowledge to find.
I could spend my days off still musing about politics, world leaders, and wars. But really, what would be the point? It has been made clear we do not matter and our words are not taken into consideration, so I will not waste any more time dwelling on things out of my control.
So if you discover I haven't published in awhile, know it's because I've disappeared into the pumpkin patch. I'm learning, living, and laser focused on my own survival. I am not worried about the latest media sensation, nor am I angered by the latest headline. I'll try my best to share pictures of my outdoor adventures, yet don't be surprised if I can't slow down even for a second to mess with a digital camera.
I hope we'll meet up in the patch, or see each other in the actual real world. If not, take care of yourself, and spend plenty of time with Nature before the winter season begins.

I love reading your entries. I too have been disappearing into my garden with the chickens to recharge with nature when things get to be too much. It’s good for the soul to step back and “tend your own acre” for a bit.
Yes! Thank you so much 💚
